Our New Discoveries

Our first stop was in Boise at my sister Staci's for baby Allison's blessing. MJ loved holding her. Isn't she precious?

The 3 girls

at dinner

On our way over the Pass from Wenatchee to Marysville we stopped at a Reptile Zoo just off the road in Monroe. Mason was the only one with us. The other 2 went with my parents for a few days while we found a place. Mason was in heaven. His smile says it all.

This is the Black Mambo the #1 deadliest snake in the world. They had the top 10 and much more. Pythons, alligators, tortoises, other snakes and crazy reptiles.

Mason and I discovered this park just down the road from our house. There's multiple lakes all around us. This one has a beach and dock. So pretty.

Mason talked Jeremy into getting a fishing license so they can go a lot now. Mason and George love to fish.

Swimmin' fun

It's only 80 deg. but still warm enough to burn and swim.

Who needs a pool when you've got fun like this?

It's really shallow for the kids to walk around or swim.

Playin' with mud. They got into a mud war at one point.

Sat. we drove down to the city and just had to drive by the stadiums of course. This is home of the Mariners.

...and home of the Seahawks.

And then headed to Pikes Place Market to walk around.

Mount Rainier has been visible the whole time we've been here with the great weather. From our house you can see Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier.

The fish markets

The beautiful flowers, next time I'm buying some.

The crowds

The whole day we either got comments on how cute Jeter was and what kind of dog he was or on George's shirt. It says Sister for Sale $1.00 negotiable. It was pretty funny. I guess nobody has seen either before. Everyone was so talkative and friendly yet weird at the same time. We haven't seen this much smoking or tattoos in a long time.

We only drove by the Space Needle to show the kids. We'll go up it another day.

Sunday we took a drove up to Mt. Vernon (home of Glen Beck as Jeremy pointed out), to Deception Pass and drove down Whidbey Island, took a Ferry across and then back home. One big circle.

This is Rosario Beach. It's right before you get to Deception Pass.

There were tide pools to discover small creatures.

Deception Pass. There's 2 bridges that pass over the water to the island.

A path to the beach

My poser

Too many fun rocks to throw. George is good at skipping them.

The Ferry

There first ride

They had their first Shirley Temples at a local Mexican Restaraunt. It's a lot like Los Hermanos. Good stuff. There was a magician that came to our table when we were done eating. He did some good stricks for the kids with cards and small squishy balls. MJ's reactions were hilarious. She was so amazed and kept saying "How'd you do that?" I was laughing so hard it made me cry and other people in the restaraunt were laughing too. To funny. That's all they talked about the rest of the day.

We've been helping Jeremy get his store set up. This was MJ's first job, to take the mugs out of the bubble wrap and put the price tags on the bottom.

George was organizing the hats

And Mason started out organizing hats too. I was hanging t-shirts and jerseys on hangers, which there are 100's of maybe 1000's by the time we're done. They were so good at working and helping. It felt like the first time since we got here that they were productive and not fighting constantly. They really enjoyed it. We're helping 'cause Jeremy hasn't hired anyone yet, he spent the day doing interviews while we helped set up.

So as you can tell we're having a great time adjusting to our new life up here. We're loving it.

So Hard to Say Goodbye

Moving is never what it's cracked up to be. Boxes and boxes of stuff all over the house, runs to the DI with all the useless stuff you haven't used in a couple of years, dumpster runs with the stuff you just don't care about and don't want to take the time to take to DI, eating on paper plates since the whole kitchen is packed up and gone, sleeping on an air mattress that deflates as you sleep throughout the night, getting rid of things you don't want to get rid of but have to because it just doesn't plane fit in the pod or trailer, saying goodbye to friends and neighbors, saying goodbye to family.

It's a very sad process and it comes and goes throughout our lives. This wasn't the first time and it won't be the last. I just wish it could be a little easier.

Goodbye to Aunts and Uncles......

Goodbye to mom's and dad's and grandma's and grandpa's....

Goodbye to playing at the park and fishing at the river......

Goodbye to my best friends. Thanks for all the laughs.......

Goodbye to our bbq's and hanging out......

Goodbye to Pony Express........

Goodbye to Mrs. Lamb and 1st grade......

Goodbye to Miss Lindberg.....

Goodbye to Kindergarten Programs......

Goodbye to Katie.......

Goodbye to Tami and trading date nights almost every weekend......

Goodbye to friends and playing basketball after school......

Goodbye to Jace and trading Pokemon cards.....

Goodbye to Jeremy's job at US Bank....
The employee's at Smith's through him a party on his last day of work. They wrapped up the bagging stand and gave it to him. (When days were slow at the bank he would go and help them bag groceries) As he left one of the cashiers was singing him a goodbye song over the intercom. It was pretty funny. They were sad to see him leave, not the bank, but Smiths.

And of course last but not least...
Goodbye to our house on Nairn Rd, our Eagles Gate neighborhood, the brand new carpet, my flowers and my painted rooms. We are going to miss everything about you.
