Tulips Galore

Last weekend Ma♥Key and Poppa came over for a visit.
They came to George's baseball game.
It was a rainy muddy mess of a game,
but at least they were able to see him play.
He played catcher and shortstop this game.

Then after the game we picked up Jeremy from work
and went up to see the beautiful tulip fields.
Field after field are rows and rows of different colored tulips
all over the town of La Conner.
As we drove up there the rain stopped and the sky cleared
turning it into a perfect day.

Next to the tulips was a field of clovers.
It became the kids' mission to find 4 leaf clovers.
Way more interesting for them, than to be looking at the tulips of course.

Well, 2 succeeded.
MJ even found a 5 leaf clover.

MJ was not cooperative at all.
Can you tell.
She wanted nothing to do with the camera.
She was being a little stink.

Inside the gift shop we saw this:

Pretty darn funny, and true.

I'm so glad the day turned out so perfect for Ma♥Key and Poppa's visit.

I want to go back,
with boys w/ haircuts, nicer outfits and a little girl smiling for the camera.
Is that too much to ask?

Spring Break

For spring break we weren't able to do much
other than baseball games and practices.
But the next week we had visitors.
G'pa and G'ma and Austin came.
The day they got in George had a baseball game,
so that was exciting that they got to be here to watch him play.

a bit chilly but the sun was out, Yay.

Mason and Austin couldn't keep from torturing a squirrel in the tree during the game.

Fri. we kept the kids home from school and went on a hike.
We went to Granite Falls and found a great trail.
The original trail we were looking for we couldn't find
and it was only a 2 mile hike.
This trail we did find ended up being 7 miles.
It was a fun surprise.

The trail was called Lime Kiln Trail because of this 100+ yr old
Lime Kiln that was half way down the trail.
It was pretty cool.

At the end of the trail was the river.
A great place to take a break and eat some lunch.
The kids did amazing the whole time.
Not one complaint

Then on Saturday we went to a Mariner's game.

They lost but it was fun anyhow.

MJ really wanted to get a picture with the moose,
but she wouldn't do it alone.

Then Sunday morning it was time to say goodbye.

We ate breakfast at IHOP.

 Until next time.

I think this is just the cutest picture.
We love our Austin.
Thanks for coming!!!

Goin' back a month

Playing catch up from last month...
(always fun)

Mason finished out basketball season
and finished strong.

He got a really cool trophy.
The trophy was inside a snowglobe.
How cool is that?

I finished MJ's blanket. Yay!!
I love it so much i can't stop staring at it.
She loves it too.

A fun thing the kids love to do is sleep in our room.
We let them on weekends only,
unless they had a bad dream.
School nights they have to sleep in there own beds.
MJ does more often than the boys these days.
They all grab there blankets and pillows and pick
a spot on the ground.
I'm not sure why they love it, but they do.
I guess it's special time they get to spend with mom and dad
even though all we're doing is sleeping.
I actually love that they love it.

Lately all we do is go to baseball practice and games.
George is doing awesome.
He's playing Little League and it's very official.
He's playing everything in the in field.
Pitcher, catcher, 1st, 2nd, shortstop, and 3rd.
One game he threw over 70 pitches.

In our house
If you're sitting on the couch with a blanket,
Jeter is always right there next to you or laying on you.
Even with MJ on this day.
Had to capture this rare moment.
Jeter usually stays away from our crazy Jane.

Mason gets to learn how to play the recorder at school in Music class.
He's pretty excited about it.

Well, getting closer to being caught up.
More to come soon.

Newsworthy

MJ got new glassses.
They stay on so much better than her last ones.
And no more nose pieces. Yay.

***************

This is Mason's last week of basketball.
He's loved it and has done such a great job.
His coach has relied on him on being a leader
and an example.

********************

I got to drink this not so yummy stuff
to get ready for my first colonoscopy.
I had to drink 1/2 the gallon.
It really is the worst part of the whole process.
And boy does it clean you out.

The results were that I most likely have
Ulcerative Proctitis.
So glad it wasn't any more serious.
Still waiting for the biopsy results.

George finally had his cross over
from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.

Mason helping with the flag ceremony:

George started baseball last week.
At practice on Sat. his coach was teaching him how to pitch.
He was doing a really good job.
So he might be doin it during the season too.

What a kid!
He's contantly impressing me.
Actually they all do.

Love 'em to pieces.
