I went to Thanksgiving Point today to buy some tulip bulbs. They were $3/dozen. They pull up all their bulbs from their tulip festival every year and sell them to make room for all their annuals. The bulbs are from Holland, so are really good quality and they're only 1 season old. I'm excited, I've never planted bulbs before. Watching my neighbors yards with their bulbs coming up in the spring I decided I wanted to have some for next year. The only thing is you don't know what kind of tulip you're going to get until they come up. So it will be a fun surprise. I ended up only buying 2 dozen. If anyone wants me to go buy them some for their yards let me know. They said you just bring them home and put them in a cardboard box and save them until October and then plant them. The stems and leaves will dry up and snap off before you plant the bulb. I'd like to think I'll be a good gardener someday, I feel it running through my blood.

The bulbs i got from the temple I just put them in a box, but I actually just checked on them today and some of them were already moldy and had slugs on them. ??? Make sure you cut the tops off and allow the bulbs to dry before you store them. I am trying to learn to become a better gardener too:) I guess you learn by trial and errors!
Thanks for the offer. I have to take baby steps into the whole gardening thing. It is not in my blood for sure!
